Aisling O'Sullivan, more popularly recognized by the stage name Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984), is a popular Irish actor and comedian. After appearing in bit parts in a variety of Irish and British TV shows from 2009, Bea began her career as a stand-up comedian in 2011. In 2017, she wrote an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family and took on the stage name Bea in tribute. Bea, along with her sister Sinead, were born under the guidance of Helen Moloney (nee Moloney) as a former jockey and teacher at a secondary-school. The family was obsessed with race meetings and horses. Bea was a guide for horses at Irish National Stud in her young years. But she was aware it wasn't something she was looking for in career and was more interested in performing.
