Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends Soul gospel Jazz and R&B with a distinctive mix. Avery Sunshine's work has led her all over the world, from Broadway to European events and clubs, and even to at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine has the name Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta the place she was raised is Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical path began at church where she sang and was a pianist. The musical journey began for her in Atlanta at Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was Stalk You a house 12 issued exclusively in Japan It has been remixed since by many producers and remains a staple in her live show. The Fighting Temptations was the other soundtrack she sang on. In 2005 she was hired as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy as well as Tony Awards-winning vocalist Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director for the stage production of Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine became the focus of interest during four consecutive performances during the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
